AFSP Methodology
Talent gets them noticed.
Preparation keeps them in the game.
The AFSP Methodology is a long-term, athlete-first system that builds faster, stronger, more resilient young athletes, from the tennis court to the football field, the track and the volleyball court.
What parents see
Practicing the sport isn't
the same as training the athlete.
Most young athletes swing thousands of rackets, run hundreds of drills and play game after game, yet nobody teaches them how to accelerate, land, decelerate or absorb force. That gap is where plateaus, overuse injuries and burnout begin. AFSP closes that gap.
How it works
Assess. Plan.
Train. Compete.
Assess
Movement screen, speed, strength and goals.
Plan
A personalized program based on age, sport and season.
Train
Coached sessions with measurable progress.
Compete
Support through the season and tournaments.
01 · Why
Why start
training now?
The habits, movement patterns and confidence your athlete builds in these years carry into every season that follows.
Their body is most trainable now
Childhood and the teen years are when coordination, speed and movement habits form fastest. Skills built now become automatic for life.
Prevent injuries before they happen
Strong hips, knees, ankles and cores help protect against the sprains, tendon pain and ligament injuries common in youth sports, especially for girls in cutting and jumping sports.
Sport practice alone isn't enough
Playing more creates repetitive stress. Training the whole athlete creates balance.
Confidence carries over
Athletes who feel fast and strong compete without fear, in sport and in life.
The competition is already training
Varsity spots and college recruiting go to athletes who were prepared early. Give your athlete that edge.
02 · When
The right training
at the right age.
We don't train a 9-year-old like a college athlete. Every athlete moves through stages, and every athlete is assessed first, because biological age matters more than birthday.
Foundation
Fun, game-based movement: balance, coordination, agility, body control, and learning to love training.
Development
Speed mechanics, bodyweight strength, landing and cutting technique, and proper lifting form. The body is changing fast, so we train with growth, not against it.
Performance
Sport-specific power, strength, conditioning and competition prep for high school, club and college-level play.
03 · What
The AFSP
performance pillars.
Every program is built on six pillars, then shaped around your athlete's sport, position and season.
Movement Quality
Mobility, posture and clean mechanics.
Speed & Agility
First step, acceleration and change of direction.
Strength & Power
Age-appropriate strength that transfers to sport.
Injury Resilience
Joint stability, landing control and deceleration.
Conditioning
Sport-specific endurance. A tennis match isn't a 100m race, and neither is a football drive.
Recovery & Mindset
Warm-ups, cool-downs, focus and competition routines.
Sport-specific
Not cookie-cutter.
Tennis
Footwork, explosive lateral movement, rotational power and shoulder health.
Football
Acceleration, contact strength and change of direction.
Track & Field
Sprint mechanics, block starts and elastic power.
Volleyball
Vertical jump, safe landing, and shoulder and knee protection.
Basketball & Soccer
Agility, deceleration and repeat-sprint conditioning.
04 · Where
Training that
fits your family.
Wherever your athlete trains, the coaching standard is the same.

05 · Who
Coached by athletes
who've competed at the top.
Your athlete isn't a number. Every program is personal.

Good to know.
Is strength training safe for kids?
Yes, when it's age-appropriate and properly coached. We focus on technique and control first, and load comes later.
Will this conflict with my child's team practice?
No. We plan training around their season and practice schedule so it adds to their performance instead of adding fatigue.
My athlete plays more than one sport. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Playing multiple sports builds a broader athletic base. We train the athlete so they move well in every sport they play.
Proof
Our athletes are
already winning.
Ready to begin?
Don't wait for an injury
or a plateau to start.
The best time to build a complete athlete is before the pressure is on. Let's build your athlete's foundation the right way.
